Child Abduction
Resources for Victims and Families
The Missing-Child Clearinghouse Program found at The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) site, provides resources and contacts in every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, and the Netherlands, which can be of aid when a child goes missing. The Association of Missing and Exploited Children's Organizations (AMECO) and Team HOPE can provide information and support, too.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) and its Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) have free domestic and international child abduction publications available which may be useful, too.
Lastly, The Office of Children's Issues provides information about international abduction, retention, and adoption, and more information can be found in our Support Links under the U.S. Department of State.
